Search for an Item Using the Z39.50 Protocol

Select Knowledge Portal.
Select Z39.50 Sites.
Choose a remote library to search in from the available list of libraries.
Enter the search term or terms in the appropriate field, or enter the search term and select the appropriate button, as follows.
- author
- title
- series (if available)
- general (if available)
- call number (if available)
- subject
- everything (if available)
If available, use the pull-down menu next to each field to select Boolean operators to use between fields, or with a single field. The default operator used is AND.
If available, select search or browse, or have a browse list display automatically if no hits are returned for the search.
If available, sort the hit list records by AUTHOR, ISBN, LCCN, TITLE, or ANY.
Click Search to search the remote library or Reset to start over.
