You can begin exploring the e-library by initiating a search on the Search/Home page. Once you have viewed results from the selected library, you may have the option to display results from nearby libraries, from the entire Web, or from the best of the Web.
Use the login area to access My Profile and My Account information. You can log in at any time during your e-library session.
Clicking on the Quick Search button takes you to the Quick Search page where you can conduct a simple search.
Select one of the following search across options before typing your search expression to define the search.
In the data well, type in the search expression that will be used for the search. The search results may be a single catalog record or a list of catalog records.
For multilocation libraries, you can refine your search by choosing a specific library branch from the pull-down menu, or selecting ALL to include all branches in the search.
If available, a Previous Searches pull-down menu may display on the Quick Search page, allowing you to redo searches already conducted in the current e-library session.
Clicking on the Power Search or Switch to Power Search button takes you to the Power Search page where you can further refine your initial search.
Clicking on the Browse button takes you to the Browse page where you can browse on authors, titles, subjects, series, or journal titles.
Clicking on the Call Number Search button takes you to the Call Number Search page where you can search for a specific call number.
If you are familiar with your library's catalog record item types, you can choose a specific item type to search under from the item type pull-down menu.
You can limit your call number search by the area of the library that the item is located from the location pull-down menu.
